FAQS

ONCE THE PAIN IS GONE, HOW DO WE MAINTAIN PROPER FUNCTION SO THE PAIN DOES NOT COME BACK?

You first must understand that Rome was not built in a day and your body has been supporting these dysfunctional movement patterns for years, therefore, this takes time and consistency in order to change the way we are carrying ourselves.  Remember that pain is the last thing to show up and once you begin treatment, it is the first to leave. The absence of pain is not an indication that your body is healed, it simply means that we’ve improved nerve conduction and have decreased your body’s inflammation.

Once the patient is out of pain and we’ve addressed tight and loose muscle groups, we begin a series of specialized multi-planar exercises to not only help balance out the musculature in order to hold your adjustments but to centrate the whole body so that it functions together in perfect harmony .  The doctor will take you through an exercise plan that is tailor made for your body in order to achieve and maintain optimal function. Education consists of proper breathing techniques to decrease oxidative stress of the body, proper work/home and exercise ergonomics during your daily activities and proper stretching techniques.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER TREATMENT PLANS ARE SUCCESSFUL?

We will always have to perform movements that are unnatural to our bodies and therefore place stress upon them.  For this reason, we recommend coming back into the office once every 3-4 weeks for preventative care to ensure that all of the joints/muscles are functioning properly and to answer any of your questions that you may have about maintaining a healthier you.

DO YOU OFFER EDUCATION?

Not only do we walk you through exactly what is wrong and why it happened so that you can make corrections, but we explain step by step what we are doing and why we are doing it so that you can rest assured that you have come to the right place and are in good hands.  It is important for the patient to understand the “what” and “why” so that they have the information to prevent future occurrences.
Lifestyle modifications- This consists of nutritional, lifestyle, and stress reduction counseling in order to decrease inflammation of the organs and tissues and to maintain proper emotional stability.  This is very important in the healing and prevention process of our bodies. Putting good fuel in our bodies will help prevent any illness, inflammation and stress.
